At Ashenhurst, we've designed a wide range of accommodation where you can be right at the heart of the University in no time at all.

Surrounded by beautiful woodland yet close to the Queensgate Campus (less than 1.5 miles), Ashenhurst is home for 279 students. Each residence comprises six or eight single bedrooms with areas for privacy, communal kitchen/dining room together with a cosy lounge area, shower rooms and bathrooms.

As a digs resident you will be able to take advantage of the many facilities offered at Storthes Hall Park. When the time comes for some serious studying, Ashenhurst is the ideal place to be because you really do get a perfect room for thought - high quality accommodation where you can relax and study in the knowledge that you're never too far away from the University itself. Ashenhurst also has ample car parking and a bus service.

For your peace of mind, the site is manned 24 hours a day by a dedicated and trained staff available to assist with any situation.

The site is covered by CCTV at all entrances and common areas for your peace of mind!

Laundrette

There is a laundry situated on site with washing machines and tumble dryers. It is open 24/7 for your convenience and is coin operated at reduced student rates.

Car Parking

Guaranteed on a first come first serve basis, car parking is available at an additional cost, please book as an optional extra!

Location

Ashenhurst lies 1.5 miles from the University and town centre in a village called Newsome, which is set in attractive parkland. It is easily accessible from all major routes.

Bus

A regular subsidised bus service operates from Ashenhurst to Queensgate every day during the academic year. Residents may travel between Storthes Hall Park, Ashenhurst and Queensgate at certain times, on production of a valid bus pass. Details will be published separately.

Parking

Digs provides free car parking facilities at Ashenhurst with over 50 spaces available.
