Huddersfield itself is on the western edge of the West Riding of Yorkshire, nestled on the edge of the Pennines and is within a 30 mile radius of major cities such as Leeds, Manchester, Bradford and Sheffield.

As well as providing the perfect environment for mountain biking, walking and other outdoor pursuits, the surrounding areas of Huddersfield also boast some great attractions. Yorkshire Sculpture Park is one of Europe’s leading open-air art organisations showing modern and contemporary work by leading UK and international artists.

The Galpharm Stadium is also located in Huddersfield. As well as hosting sports matches, events and concerts, the complex also has a cinema, retail park and other popular leisure outlets.

Known as Bronte Country, the area has long been associated with the famous Brontes, novelists Charlotte, Emily and Anne, from 1820 - 61. Lovingly preserved, the Bronte Parsonage Museum in Haworth is a principal tourist attraction which receives hundreds of visitors every year. Then of course, there’s Holmfirth, home to the long running TV series, Last of the Summer Wine!
